I wanted to re edit and of course blog this golden and blue hour engagment session from my trip to Boulder! Lois and Matt were so fun to work with and brought all the heat to their engagment session! This was a first time Chautauqua Park for me, and I fell in love. What a great park for pretty much anything, an elopement, a picnic, engagment session or just a simple walk.

We started taking photos at the base of the park so we could get all of the dreamy golden hour vibes and then we drove to the top and Matt knew a pull off where all of these rocks were that were easily accessible, and overlooked more mountains. This was where the blue hour photos were!

Are you thinking of eloping at Chautauqua Park? Here are some things to consider!

Pick a weekday or super early time on the weekend to avoid crowds. There are probably hundreds of people that visit this park a day! So you have to be okay with it not being super private even if you are off of a trail.

Leave No Trace. This goes for anywhere you are eloping, whether it is Colorado or Florida. Be respectful of the land and hikers. Anything you bring with you to the elopement, make sure it makes it way back down after the elopement. Here is a link to more Leave No Trace Principles.
